- ABOUT MY WORK Moments of inspiration are often brief and fleeting, I see a painting in almost everything I see. A simple piece of fabric blowing in the wind, transforming in sunlight and in shadow. The fragility of old and decaying objects, and the imense satisfaction of watching a sky transform from light to darkness. It is these quickly passing moments of inspiration that I seek to capture in my work. My paintings are both constructive and destructive, sometimes built in layers, with an instictive and intuitive recognition of colour and texture.I paint with an unpredictable freedom, following my internal guidance and feelings. The process fills me with overwhealming excitement and passion. I don’t always seek to convey an underlying message but aim to allow the viewer to discover their own connection and interpretation of my work.. Training 1995 ‘A’ level Art.
